An experienced tech administrator, Graeme Queen has served Standard Insurance Company as senior director of IT solution delivery since 2011. In addition, he is a dedicated long-distance runner. At last report, Graeme Queen was only 4 minutes away from qualifying for the Boston Marathon, an event that he calls “the holy grail” for serious marathoners around the world.
Officials will release qualifying times and guidelines for the 2024 Boston Marathon after the 2023 Boston Marathon on April 17, 2023. Although now closed for registration, the 2023 Boston Marathon had qualifying times that ranged from 3 hours flat for men between 18 and 34 years of age to 5 hours and 20 minutes for women who are 80 years of age or older.
Registration guidelines require all qualifying times to be officially submitted net times (otherwise known as chip times) for full outdoor marathons. Indoor or virtual marathons did not qualify for the 2023 event. Due to the sheer number of submissions, qualifying times don’t guarantee event entry, but simply qualify a candidate for consideration.
